hey everyone, mom and i just went skydiving today! mom did the 9,000 ft and loved it. we got video and pics to prove it too=) she did great for her first jump...and for being a senior citizen! hehee=) i did the 15,000 ft one and got over 60 sec of freefall time! it was so awesome! my instructor simon let me do my own spins on the freefall, control the parachute, and even let me help land! and the scenery was so beautiful! we went over lake wanaka and lake hawae with snow capped mountains all around. we are loving NZ, camping and driving around at our own schedule. tomorrow we are taking a flight over mt. aspiring and then to milford sound where we will take a boat cruise through the sound. a couple of days ago we spent a whole day climbing Frans Joseph glacier. it was really breath-taking. we got to climb through blue ice caves and stomp around on ice talons. like i said... loving it. see you all soon!
