The day was spent with the band in rehearsal, with a visit to the Flanders Fields museum and a walk around Ieper in the afternoon. Delightful town. Plenty of chocolate shops. Weather was pretty good as the wind died down which made a big difference.

With the WFT group, in Ieper, dinner and visit to Menin Gate. Walk through square on way home. Everyone freezing! Interesting rooms and bedding.

Left Montmartre by taxi for music shop, picked up instruments, then CDG airport, all collected safe and well and off to Ieper we went.

Had a great day wandering around Montmartre. Took the tourist train to Sacre Coeur (Sacred Heart) Cathedral. It is a wonderful church, in a beautiful spot overlooking Paris. We said a prayer for Mum (Nita) who is not so well at the moment, then after looking around the top, went back down again for nails and dinner in an Irish pub.
