Last day in LA. The weather is hot, (90 degrees), there sky is blue and I'm off to the beach. Vinice beach in particular. Muscle beach was very quiet this morning, not much to report on there, other than it was quiet with few people, big guys with big chests and stick legs. Hollywood was disappointing. It full of tacky rubbish that no-one really wants or needs. The only colourful thing about Hollywood was my company. Hans. He left to return to San Fran after a few days. I guess I shocked to walk along the Hollywood Blvd, (the walk with the star's names on the floor) and found that Marilyn Monroe was outside a 'McDonalds'. There was a comedy show at the hostel and a group of us went out with the comedians, (who weren't that funny....). We went to a bar called Jumbo's, one where Kirt Cobain (Nirvarna) and Courtney Love met. It was a sleezy bar, where young ladies danced in their underwear. I can't say I was impressed with the dancers, but the music was great. (New Order, Joy Division, Coldplay, Nivarna, Pearl Jam etc. I in a different hostel now, one which is closer to the beach. The thing I don't like about LA, is that its designed for people in cars. Everything is so wide-spread and an epic to get to. I have chosen not to go the universal studios etc as I'm happy to wind down on the beach and prepare myself for my central america trip. The hordes of people are a put off.
