Hello, Hope everyone is well. We are spending a couple of days longer than expected in Brisbane as our car 'Fernando' broke down on the way to Byron Bay and has been in the garage for the last couple of days which is quite frustrating but we are thinking there could be worse places to be stranded! After spending yesterday being towed around various places we checked back into another hostel, did some sightseeing today and went on a tour around the 4 XXXX brewery. The Oasis concert on Saturday evening was excellent, made even better because lots of the music they played has been the soundtrack of the roadtrip so far. On the way from Surfer's Paradise we participated in another extreme sport ... 'Zorbing'. This involves being hosed down with water, placed in a huge inflatable ball full of water and pushed down a huge hill.... fun !! We also went to Australia Zoo owned by the mad Aussie croc wrestling guy, Steve Irwin which was cool. We are hoping to add some long overdue pictures to the site tonight. We will hopefully be back on the road to Byron Bay tomorrow... fingers crossed! See ya, Ann and Sal x x x x
