HAPPY NEW YEAR!! We hope that you all had a great Christmas and a brilliant new year. We began our new year celebrations by trespassing on the roof of our flat with Dan and Lucy and did some day drinking whilst baking in the heat. We then all went into the City to watch the fireworks with Angela, Darcy and Nathan to one of the parks that onlooks the Harbour Bridge. Ann wandered off only to return to have access denied by one of the doormen at the gate as the park was full to capacity. Sal soon came to the rescue and convinced them that we were sisters and it would be cruel to make us spend the evening apart!! The first fireworks display was at 9pm and the grand finale was at midnight. We passed the time inbetween by attempting to build a human pyramid (see photos - Who's ya daddy??). After the last big bang we made our way back to Bondi as Fatboy was playing on the beach. The tickets had been out of our price range but security was so slack we joined the massive party going on on the beach to the left of the stage. New years day was the hottest on record since 1939 and it reached 43 degrees. The heat was not even funny - imagine a hairdryer on the hot setting!! We spent most of the day sweltering in the flat but cooled down with an indoors water-fight. Dan left the following day for South Africa - another emotional farewell! He is under strict instructions to stay a safe distance away from the lions and tigers!! AND A special hello to Flissy, Leanne, Kat and Anna - Bumped into Oli dancing his socks off in the club part of the Bondi hotel the other night!!! Didnt hear him before i saw him though as i thought i would but thats just because the music was so goddam loud!!! x x x Ann and Sal xx
