Hi Ian, Love the pictures of byron bay and the lighthouse, it reminds me of drummore in scotland where we went on holiday, the lighthouse there is like that but a bit larger, and from theres you can see isle of man and ireland and the beach is very like the beaches in northumberland. have you left brisbane now then? why were you and Anna doing the gardening, were you working?. They looked lovely, your Grandma Bailey would have liked them.Looking forward to next update. Mum x

Hello,yeah was nice place, sea was really clear and had good waves to swim into and stuff.

No leave Brisbane this fri morning,takes 2 and a quater hours to get to cairns and its in same state!

Werent working in garden just messing about,you lot would have liked it there and grandma Bailey yeah, Was some Chocolate plants and curry plants and stuff there which smelled exactly like the things they said they did!

Football match was good too but wasnt a huge crowd there,rained before kick off too which probably stopped a lot of people going as was heavy!

Ok off to tennis soon so have to go,speak soon

Hi Ian, Just seen your update and latest pics. you look well tanned. Grandad says bikes look ok, he,d have ride round on one of those, (he,d look a right burke on it) The skeleton of the knagaroo was good, how they made it out of chains etc.. Did you have a bonfire night in Brisbane? When are you getting a job out there? Grandad still on four days at Stanton, said are there any jobs for him out there. I wouldn,t be far behind him coming. Dads going to night match with grandads ticket as he is on nights, and with being on short time doesn,t want to lose money by going in late. Weather still cold and horrid here, and dark about 4.30pm. yeah bikes were good,was free to get in there too and some interesting stuff,went when it rained last week!

Dont think getting a job now,just going to have a holiday and see the different parts of the country and then come back when done all that! have to do too many cards and courses to get a job!

No dont have a bonfire night here,didnt have a lot on for haloween either,or christmas at the moment.

Off on another trip on monday so be some more photos then. Going to watch the football here soon so hope its a good match,Queensland are playing melbourne

Nice to hear from you, just looking at your recent pics. Your bike is at back of garage Ian so dont panic! and no we couldnt put it in margarets garage. we had a terrible job getting it up the bank at side of house (matt had to winch it up with sit on mower) its far too muddy over there now, and door comes next week. It won't get damp either in our garage. it was funny seeing lee camp in goal, and yes he did get a lot of stick, but played fantastic, did some great saves and was very good with fans, just kept laughing at them. He said derby were hard done by too. earnshaw got booed and kris commons got quite a bit from their fans. will video them all anyway. It seems to me that you have been gone for ages! What matches are you seeing at the austrailian open? I will look out for you although Its massive so probably won't see you. Sorry to hear about holly, Its sad that Anna was away when it happened.Ben is fine but does seem to get more and more blind as each day goes by ( yesterday he ran to his bed, and straight into my floor bucket full of water, and knocked the lot all over kitchen, he just crashed into it as if it wasn't there!) what a mess it was.He isn't too keen on going out at moment, wth all the fireworks.Finally I am feeling a bit better.although tierd today. Had to climb on Matts windowsill at 12.45am and shout at next doors lad, he was out side with 4 mates, bottles of beer and everything kicking a massive beach ball at peoples cars, it sounded dreadful, it hit yours too, so I yelled at them.You would have gone mad, but your cars is ok, and at least it was only a soft ball. Not sure what games will be on as not been drawn yet,its just luck of the draw who you get to see! We are there in the day for the first day of the tournament and the night session in the main arena for second day so should get to see the Big name players!

Hello Ian, sorry I have not been on here for a while, still not well, I think both me and Dad are getting worse rather than better!.In answer to your question,The trailer tent is in garage ( we tried to put it in side garage but too big to go in there), so Dad was FORCED to tidy other garage, which as you can imagine took two whole days!. we have had to move your motorbike over to other side and move all the thousands of old shoes from there, along with all the rest of the stuff.Matt didn't really go to man u match, I couldn't afford their prices!.He was having you on.When are you going to sydney? you said november sometime didn't you?. How is the weather there, its a bit warmer here but has turned wet now.we went to scout bonfire on saturday just to show our faces, You know what johns like if you don't go, but there wasn't many people there as it was windy and throwing it down with rain. We won the match on sunday by the way9 scored 1 goal for them and 3 of our own, but the awful ref dissallowed a perfectly good goal from miles addison, and we ended up drawing. He is now under investigation.( it's the same one who did ghost goal that never was,). Villa scored their goal too, so they didn't score any goals really, but you didn't miss a good match, it was pretty rubbish, from both teams.They know they were lucky really and they lost it really, can't wait till feb hope we beat them, shut earnshaw up with his sarcastic remarks. Will you be putting any videos on your site or just picture? I bet you are both really tanned now.Are you homesick yet?. Let us know when you move onto next place please. speak soon mum xxx

No go to cairns next,then gold and sunshine coast. Sydney is in late december. Then going to Melbourne to watch Aus open tennis,we'll have done pretty much everything we want to by then so not sure what we'll do after that at moment!

Hope you got my bike at back of garage so doesnt get damp. Couldn't tent have gone in margarets garage for now?

The aboriginal workshop sounds like fun. Can you choose designs for the boomarang from a selection that they give you to make it look like a real Oz production...:@) or do you just paint anything? Will Ian be painting too?

Dad is very tired at the mo. too much travelling up and down the country I think. He's gone to see his brother in Macclesfield today so hopefully it's been relaxing.

The Crocs in Cairns certainly need to be kept at least a 40 foot barge poles distance from you, ( that would be my late fethers' advice lol) as do spiders,snakes and other nasties that might be after your blood out there.!!

We tried going, but the aboriginal workshop is in the process of being moved:( So we are going to the Queensland museum, which should have some original aboriginal work for us to look at.

Thats good that dad took a break, he needs to stop travelling all over the place, cant be good for him:(

I will try to remember that advice if I see one! lol! I will prob run away screaming anyway! We watched a programe on spiders and snakes last night and now know that there is quick help from the emergency services if anything does happen.

Grandad wiring a light up on garage, hope he doesn,t blow us up, with his look. Mum rigged trailer tent up in garden, it looks good. Asked Matt if he was going to camp in it tonight, but says no its too cold.Looks big on garden. Hope mum taped the whole match, not just the highlights. Thought Derby would have won, but draw is ok. Its hasnt been that good weather wise past day and a bit,been warm but cloudy,meant to be improving later in the week though so rearranged a couple of trips for then. To oReillys and byron bay.
