Hi all. Flew up to Townsville with Darren on Tuesday. Stayed at his friends house for the night, Kai, Mia and baby Jessie. Kai is Trip Director on a Scuba Diving boat and we will be going out on the boat tonight for 3 days. Darren and I will be working on the boat, only a few jobs, I'll have to make the beds, help the cook etc. But for doing this we get the $500 trip for FREE. Cool hey. Kai has also agreed to do my Advance Diving Course with me for Free also. So in all, I'm saving about $800. We came to Magnetic Island on Wednesday morning. Just a 40min ferry ride from Townsville. Nice island. The sun is shining so thats good. Been sun bathing and reading my dive book. Have to do 5 written test for the Advance course. All interesting stuff. Hard getting my brain to work again though. Getting the ferry back this afternoon and then going on the boat at 7pm. Bit winding on the sea, hope I do not get sea sick. Looking forward in seeing the Great Barrier Reef and also doing my first night dive. Terrible news about the London bombing. Hope you are all ok. The whole bar last night was watching the news, most backpackers where english. So shocking and sad. Lets hope there will be no more! Love Anna xxxx
