WOW! The Inca trail was absolutely amazing! We can honestly say that it was the hardest walk we have ever done - our legs are still sore and our shoulders are aching from carrying our backpacks, but man it was worth it! 15/04 22/04 - perhaps the most amzing 8 days of our lives! We've been jungle explorers! After sparking minor panic amongst those at home due to maxing our debit card limits, we made a last minute decision to take this trip to the Manu Reserve with Manu Ecological Explorers! GOOD DECISION! Day One. Early start (the first of MANY). Made a long and bumpy ride to the first lodge. 12 hours on the road and we had to change a wheel once, and traverse many landslide...

We are in Cusco in a very modern and unsmelly internet place!!! WE LOVE IT!!! Have put millions of new photos on for your pleasure - enjoy! We are both suffering with belly trouble again - Andy in particular, so we have spent most of today in the hostel watching tele and sleeping - well, Sophie has - Andy has been sat on the loo!!! OOPS! Despite having stomach issues - the Colca Canyon was amazing!The descent down to the bottom of the canyon was steep to say the least! Lots of loose, slippery rocks with a 1000m drop or so on one side! Very scary, but amazing views! We had lunch in the bottom of the Canyon, then we walked along the other side through villages which have only had electricity for the past 4 months!  - they still bring everything down/up here by donkeys and mules! Well, now we are in Arequipa, and we have to say that this is definately the nicest city we´ve been to yet.
