We are in paradise!!! This place is GORGEOUS! Staying in a great hostel which is only a tenner a night, including breakfast, surrounded by atlantic rainforest and white sandy beaches with turquiose sea! ooooo!!!

We arrived yesterday by boat from Angre dos Reis, and just mooched around town and ate ice cream, whilst observing a very entertaining fight between a huge crab and a dog! We were also mesmorised by the gigantic bats flying around our heads - we presume they were of the fruit variety cos they kept dropping fruity objects in our vicinity! Today we have had a fab day of hard hiking up a mahoosive hill! In the glorious sunshine we trekked up the mighty Parrot Peak - which at nearly 1000m is the second highest peak on the island - it took us 5hrs, but the view from the top was well worth it.

Tomorrow we plan on doing more hiking - but this time to a secluded beach on the other side of the island, where we may just get some sunbathing in!

We are absolutely loving it here and we now desperately don't want to go home! Car insurance, work, rain....... POOOOOOOOO! You can keep it all!!!!!!!!!
