ok... can pick up where i left off now!
so, as we were walking around the Argentinian side of the falls we were constantly surrounded by coaties (sp?) which are a cross between a badger and a racoon i guess! They were everywhere, and very cute; they were frequently running off with peoples packets of crisps! The scenary was spectacular, but it did feel a little like a theme park, with absolutely LOADS of tourists.
Yesterday, we re-visited the Argentinian side, cos we got half price tickets. This time, we ventured further away from the crowds, down a jungle trail to another hidden away waterfall. It was ace! We encountered a huge group of capuchin monkeys, who happily posed for pictures whilst feasting on leaves in the trees around us - one baby one was particularly bold and was only a few feet from us - we named him Bob Hernando Philip Albert. he! We also saw big guinea pig cross rat things which were quite cute, and of course another waterfall. On the way out of the park we also saw a MAHOOSIVE spider strolling across the path! It looked like a big black hairy tarantula - eek! We kept our distance as apparently these b*****s shoot hair out of there arse which is pretty itchy!
Today we visited the Brazilian side of the falls, which is just as touristy, but again had amazing views - great panoramic views and lots of opportunities to get soaked! Booked our bus to Campo Grande for tomorrow - we are off to the Brazilian Pantanal! woohoo!
