Vilma
I worked for a frnsihcae YBM in Daegu-Seongseo. The hours were good (3-10pm M,W,F and 2 or 3 hours on T, Th.), but telephone teaching was horrible. We had to call each student 2 times per month publicity for the parents. We had to grade lots of tests two times per month, and the pay was sometimes late by a couple of days. The vacation was doled out by the supervising teacher, who was not so good. Sometimes, we would get a Tues. or Wed. for no apparent reason. At least, it could have been on a Fri. so we could have a 3 day weekend. No one got vacation time. The teaching materials were full of mistakes. One of the reasons I left this school was due to the sale of the school to its former manager. I don't think that most students liked the school and they were dropping out like flies. Management was weak and really did not know much about running a school. As someone who has been teaching for 20 years (Japanese, Chinese students English and music), I was amazed at the teaching going on. 3 people left within 7 months period of time. Makes one wonder.
