I agree with Fishburne on this issue. The military scohol I went to, Hargrave, went co-ed in 1976 and in 2000-something quietly dropped female cadets once more. Honestly, I am fine with that, and I never heard a cadet complain about the absence of females in the Corps. My thinking on it is this: if you've no opportunity to consider trying to date your company commander, you'll probably be paying more attention to your studies. Furthermore, at a scohol like Hargrave, cadets can only spend time with girls if they go off campus. To go off campus, they have to have a pass. To have a pass, they must be in good standing. And to be in good standing drum roll they have to do their homework and wear the uniform right. The end result of Hargrave- and Fishburne, I expect- being single-sex scohols is that cadets have a few less distractions and a few more incentives to work hard and learn.
