Flew to Auckland today. Off around the town now. Got upgraded from our room to an executive suite with lounge downstairs, huge 2 person bath, telescope you name it.

Staying in comparative luxury tonight after slumming it for the last few nights in motels and pubs. Went for a three hour mountain bike ride round the lake. Needed the dip in the hotel spa after that. Off to Auckland in the morning.

Went on jet boat this morning. Good fun if a trifle cold. The postcard is a photo of it. Staying in arrowtown tonight, a old mining village near queenstown. Cheers

Hello all Today we flew to Milford Sound and back in a 4 seater Cessna. Very exhilarating flying over the mountain ranges and fiords. Had a cruise on the Sound for an hour and a half. Should have some pictures up later (we've exhausted the battery on the camera). Visited a very disorganised "transport museum" whilst waiting for the weather to clear this morning. It was more like a scrapyard. Hope to jetboat on the lake tomorrow then on to Queenstown. ...

Drove from lake tekapo to lake wanaka today. Another beutiful place although this one is a little busier. Hired mountain bikes again and rode around the lake, it's so beautiful out here and everyone is really friendly. Booked a flight to Milford Sound tomorrow, though depends on the weather.
