On 12th July, Chris and I flew back to Singapore!! As he had 7 hours before check in for his flight home, we went into the city for a few hours!! Then it was back to the airport for dreaded goodbye.. However we made it a. Short goodbye to avoid any embarrassing scenes!!!! ;) so jumped in a taxi, felt like Carrie in sex in the city waving goodbye to my man and headed to the city to meet Mary and our hostesses mairead and jenny!! (Two lovely Irish girls living in Singapore, one of which is Mary's cousin!!) There were no time for tears as within 40 mins we were ready to go hit the town!! It was free flow of drinks, so champagne all around, brilliant night, catch up with Mary and meeting a great bunch of Irish girls!! My ears were ringing for the first few mins with all the Irish accents!!;)

Mary and I had three more days in Singapore before flying to Bali!! On Sunday night we got up to watch the world cup final, but unfortunately the time difference caught us out and we arrived as second half was starting!! Unbelievably we didn't cop on to this until extra time was announced, all the time wondering why the time was wrong on the screen and why there were so many substitutions so 'early on'!! Oh the joys of getting up in the middle of the night to watch matches.. Anyway all was worth it a Germany had a spectular goal in extra half making them weltweister ( world chammpion) !!!

The following day we visited the East coast park which was huge and we struggled to find the exit, at marina bay we watched the famous light show which was slightly cringe but lovely all the same!!! We also the gardens by the bay lit up at night time which was pretty!! We visited Singapore zoo, which was n beautifully laid out and had a great variety of animals!! Saw my first ever polar bear, pgyma hippos (that can't even swim but like to stand in water), orangutans which were allowed to roam around in the open!! Still love how they pose while hanging from ropes!! We watched the sea lion show to finish up while eating ice cream!! That night we headed to the long bar in raffles to drink the famous Singapore sling cocktail in the place that it orginated from...Almost worth the S$30!!!

On our last day we went to the harbour front and crossed the board walk to sentosa island!! This is man made entertainment island with Walt Disney etc!! Beautiful to walk around besides the unbearable heat!! Our flight to Bali was late in the evening and due to a very long immigration q it was almost 2am by the time we reached our accommodation in jimbarren in Bali!!!
