Hi Guys ! WOW - the latest photos of Ethiopia are absolutely amazing - those churches, mountains and roads are just incredible. Looks like hardy countryside - but amazing ! Enjoy and keep safe.

I meant wifi not cell signal.
Dave Van Graan
Hi guys. I am at the GOHA hotel in Gondar. If you get signal please let me know when you expect to be here. I can then book the rooms for you. I have all the visas for Sudan. I do not get any ETH signal on my phone since I left Addis and decided to try the blog to get the message to you. Hope all is well and that your are now well and truly Ethiopianised. It is getting very lonely and I do not enjoy drinkng alone. The Sudan visas are valid for 2 weeks only but we can arrange for more time once we are in Khartoum, no problem. Enjoy.

Hi to you both. Fascinating journey blog and pics. Ditched our mobile wifi and went for landline fibre optic, installed last week which means we can now play catch up on your blogs and photos! Awesome trip from what we've read so far. Gin & tonics on our Dorset bungalow patio yesterday afternoon, that must be our earliest in the year ever. At least the flood waters are subsiding! Stay where you are for a week so we can catch up on the blogs!

Up to date again on your travels. Just amazing ! Interesting that our friends in Rwanda posted farewell dinner photos of their friends from the Embassy. So chances are that they were also at the Braai. Your blog is really great and so extremely well written. Pity about all the rain ...but I suppose it adds its own dimension. Simon - you can be happy to miss this Argus ...wind really gusting. Staying at the flat - so were at the finish for the winners. Great to see. Saw Jimmy and Guy - who were off on the 2nd round with Jade and Gaby. Weather cool and blustery over the last and next few days ...hopefully this is not the end of summer yet. Keep well and look after yourselves. Looks like you are getting lots of extreme driving practice. Look forward to the next instalments !

Happy Birthday Simon, wherever you are:) Enjoy as this will be one with a difference!

Well, I have managed to catch up on the latest news - just amazing. All sounds quite something. Sorry to see that the rain seems to be following you though. All good on this end of the world - busy and in town a lot 'cos of all the visitors.
Keep well and keep safe !!!

Sounds like life has slowed down to the real pace of Africa ... don't worry about the working classes back home.... we're all fine!
New career to host a travel program maybe??
Take care..
