Iceland Day 1 - We landed after long delays and stomach churning turbulance. A journey from airport to Blue Lagoon to Stykkisholmur and the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. We marvelled at a landscape that seemed other worldly, driving past at least a hundred and one waterfalls, and watching cute Icelandic ponies chase cute Icelandic sheep. We put many, many kilometers on our tiny baby Ford Feista. And we ended the day tired, a wee bit cranky, but utterly bewildered by this crazy, crazy place.
