In May, student life got a little harder again since the first final deadlines were approaching and studying became an important determinant of my time.
However, there was always still time to go out in the weekend for either partying or dinner. Moreover, since the season changed to become the Australian winter, I had to spend some days as well shopping some warmer clothes for the weather conditions.
We've had a couple of nights having drinks in several famous Melbournian rooftop bars which was really enjoyable and fancy and just a nice 'escape' from studying.
One event was also the residential "Winter Wonderland" Ball of our dormitories. It was hosted in a nearby hotel and included a 3-course- dinner, as well as fancy dresses and ball-typical features like dancing and speeches and amongst all, fun.
Our exchange student organization organized a trip to the natural Hot Springs on the Mornington Peninsula, about an hour out of Melbourne. This thermal, natural hot springs and spa center was a great opportunity to take a study break and to enjoy the hot water in cold temperatures outside.
