After I've almost fully recovered from my annoying ear infection, I spontaneously went to the Formula 1 season opening in Melbourne, which was a 'once in a lifetime' event.
The huge area of Albert Park hosted the event where - next to the actual race- car brands hosted smaller events, exhibited some cars (i.a. some Ferraris) or held the Porsche Carrera Cup before the actual race.
The weather became really nice after starting off as being a grey and rainy morning. Eventually, we ended up with a nice spot for seeing both the race tracks as well as the Melbournian skyline. Before the race, a flight show with jet fighters and an Airbus A380 from Quantas introduced the race. The actual race took about 2 hours and was semi-interesting, but still super cool.
Unfortunaly, our German team support for German driver Vettel was not suffiecient enough to let him win, but all in all, I had a great day plus a sunburn in my face :D
