So we were sitting on a couple of rocks outside of our tent in the dark of the night, just chatting, basking in the soft glow of the LED lamp. I heard a noise behind us, looked, didn't see anything and dismissed it. Well, the noise came again and this time I shone a torch where I heard the sound - SPIDER! And I was gone, yanking up the tent zipper so I could climb inside. This tarantula was about 20 cm from where we were sitting :/
