I arrived in Iguasu early on Saturday afternoon, and shared a taxi to the hostel with a couple of Norwegian girls on my bus who were also staying there. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon, so I decided against heading out to the falls straight away and spent the afternoon sunbathing by the huge pool. The following day I set off with an American girl to see the Argentinian side of the falls. Firstly we did the upper trail, a walkway which takes you right across the top of the falls. The views were spectacular, and viewpoints dotted all the way along allowed us to get right above each individiual fall. Being on the top, we could see the falls rushing down on the one side, but on the other the water was completely calm- it looked just like a lake. After completing the upper trail we headed to the entrance, where a little train took us up to 'Devil's Throat Canyon', the real showpiece of the falls. At the viewing platform on which extends over the cliff, we were surrounded on all three sides by the falls. The noise was deafening, and we got completely soaked standing there but somehow you just can´t stop watching them! After that, it began raining so headed back to the hostel for the night.
