We arrived at Singapore airport and caught the metro to our hostel in Chinatown. We dropped off our bags, had a quick shower and headed out to get some food. We quickly found the Bugis night market which is a huge undercover market selling anything you can possibly imagine. We grabbed a fresh dragon fruit juice and perused the many stalls and their eclectic offerings. We soon found a small but really busy chinese food hall and settled down to some delicious duck....

We arrived in Bali on the Saturday night having spent 5 hours in Darwin airport. All was going well until my rucksack did not come off the carousel! I had, with hindsight stupidly, travelled in jeans and a tshirt, so was not best dressed for the sticky heat of Bali. We said goodbye to the camper van on Monday morning (sob sob), and found our way to our hostel in Cairns. We got a great deal on a resort hostel with a pool so spent the first couple of days unwinding by the pool and topping up the tan. From Airlie Beach we boarded a 75 foot boat called "The Pegasus" for our 2 day/2 night sail around the Whitsunday Islands. This is somewhere we were really looking forward to going as we had heard such amazing things about it.
