18/05/09; they come round when we got back on the train with a menu of 4 course meals for 3pounds!! we couldnt say no! Mine was delicious! it started hammering it down as we crossed the border-typical!! the person serving the food produced a table from under the chairs and put it up between us then put it down afterwards and pulled down the top bunk and set up the bottom bunk so we could have a sleep. we were exhausted so slept from about 9-11- thinking the train...

15/5/09: The journey through Malaysia was interesting- just miles and miles of palm trees and banana trees. Plus lots of shacks made of wood and corrugated iron where they live- loads of rubbish everywhere. Weather was very hot and sunny but train had aircon which made it chilly. 29/04/09: We got bus at 1.10, I was well chuffed cos while we was walking to the bus station we was stopped by an old couple who asked how much my bag weighed and said I was carrying it beautifully. 26/04/09: We got to Canberra about 4.10, as we drew nearer it got cloudier and cloudier and started raining. We drew into bus station and stepped off the bus into the freezing cold- I had forgotten what the cold felt like- it was apparently 9 degrees- colder than home!!!
