Driving out of Yellowstone park, where the scenery was pretty because if all the colours and elks, we drove into Teton Park which was stunning because of the shear mountain cliffs dipping into Teton lake. The shocked us because he park is less famous.
Earlier we went to see old faithful. The walk around is lovely with its little bubbling ponds and mountain surroundings, even on a slightly foggy day. (Thunder and lightening part one begins soon...) We didn't know when it was expect to blow, but know it was less than an hour. This was when I learnt how impatient Lynette can be... Especially when the rain started!
So we drove towards Provo (near Salt Lake City) to meet Lyn's friend and husband from school. We drove ove the mountains where we were pelted with hail so fat hat almost all the traffic pulled over. I'm talking the size of fingernails. Then after a slow climb following a slow truck we passes through the picturesque Swan Valley before hitting Idaho again.
Swan valley was elegant with rolling hills, old farm houses and rut rounded by mountains and stunning clouds. We went through there since it looked best on the map though I am sure Molly the sat nav would have told us different.
Oh and the lightening storms began. We probably had at least one every day for 5 days. Even though it looked fantastic I was personally very glad to have rubber tyres.
