Melbourne,
Day 6
What a city! I couldn´t believe the sight when I came here after almost three days of hiking and almost nine hours of bus! At the moment I´m simply chilling out at the hostel that I´ve booked, 204kr for a bed in a dormitory. Comfy it is not but it is a welcome change to the flat grounds between Kanangra National park and Goulbourn. I´m about to go out and explore the city (I came pretty late last night) since the spirit of Tasmania isn´t leaving until exactly 19:30. Thing is, it will carry on the whole night so therefor I have booked an "ocean recliner" e.i. a seat instead of a cabin (prices for the cabins are outrages, and the ocean recliner settles for 2076kr with return ticket), similar to the ones on the gotland ferry back home in Sweden. Even though I´ve written up this route so that I could see Tasmania I really wish I had taken more time in Melbourne (and Blue Mountains) since it is such a bustling, lively place. But I can´t change the plans now, so I´ll just make the best of the day here. Devonport tomorrow it is, and from there I´m going to have a really adventurous visit to Tasmania, and its multitudes of attractions. So long!
