Between Melbourne and Adelaide,
Day 14
I´ve been sitting on this dratted bus for about six hours now, and the twists and turns have been constant all the time. Anyway, I´ve had several absolutely amazing days in Tasmania coupled with memories that I will never forget. It is an absolutely fantastic place, and I´m sad that I´m leaving it. At the moment, as I mentioned, I´m sitting in one of Australia´s many greyhound buses on my way to Adelaide (to see the city and get some ((very)) late lunch ((76kr)) and then almost immediately to a little town called Petersborough, which is the starting point of an extreme, renown trail called the Strzelecki track. I´ll be sleeping there one night in my tent and then filling up on many of the provisions needed, although I will be "town hopping" to save myself the burden of all the water. (The strzelecki track stretches ten to twelve days of hiking, covering a massive space as it goes through the traditional Australian outback.) It will be challenging, but the town hopping will make it a lot easier, and it is -believe it or not- not that much slower than bus since the roads going in the middle of Australia are rarely used by them; instead they go along the coast around the major cities. The trail goes directly to Jundah were from I will use a bus to get to Townsville, were from (again) I will walk to Mission Beach..... One step at a time however. I´ve first got many, many kilometers to walk...
