Swan valley
What a day! It started off terribly- caught the bus I into the city and waited for our shuttle to collect us..one turned up gave our names he said nope not this one it's the next bus. Turns out he was meant to take us he'd just got confused however the next bus that turned up our mate tonysorted us out. And we got $20 off.
Drove Into the swan valley where we went to winery number 1. Wasn't sure what to expect but we had about a quarter of a glass/bit less and 9 samples in each one. 3 white 3 red 3 dessert in some places a port and you can ask for top ups! Also all the cheese you can eat. Stood in 35 degree heat with cheese lots of wine over looking beautiful Vineyards. It was a VERY happy day!!
We tried to look like we knew what we we're doing but when we kept getting. Asked what our favourite type of wine was it was becoming increasingly more difficult as the day went on to not respond the cheapest or goon?
Some places we're a little posher than others I didn't like those ones. I liked the places that we're basically just like an outdoor hut in the middle of the vineyards. We made friends with a girl from Chicago who LOVED wine. The more drunk I got the more we started talking about South America. And a bloke was from Halesowen. Small world.
Lunch was cracking. Involved a lot more cheese and the biggest glass of wine ever accidentally got another aswell.
There was one winery where she brought out 5 bottles of white red dessert and sparkling and u could try as many as you wanted in 35 minutes. We'll I was very drunk after this!
Walking around with my wine stubby holder around my neck.
All In all it was a fantastic day mart didn't even shout at me for it being rubbish like he says my bright ideas normally are!
We got back and mart was so drunk he had to have a nap (he had a lot of top ups!)
