We drove from Carlsbad to Roswell New Mexico. Wow. Checked out the alien museum it was hard not to laugh but the people of Roswell are so convinced about the aliens I didn't want to offend anyone. We'd pre prepared tin foil hats to prevent the aliens reading our thoughts and had much fun getting photos with them on. Brought some really tacky presents for home and we were on our way again. Drove to Santa Fe...along route 66 yeahhhhh! small place but very pretty....

After Austin we drove and drove and drove to west Texas. We stopped first of all in San Antonio..such a pretty place. Checked out the Alamo! A lot smaller than I thought. They have this thing called the river walk which is just full of shops restaurants and bars along a river..Mart found $20 In a cash point so ate with that. New Orleans is the coolest place I've ever been to. We drove from Orlando..stopped off in Alabama at a hunting shop played with some crossbows. Arrived in New Orleans Louisiana! Orlando was fun! However the heavens opened and it poured they had freak storm warnings. Didn't matter though because we were in cabins for one which were really cool and then we were in theme parks so the rain was quite welcome! Went to universal..rides are amazing! But I geeked out in Harry potter world it blew my mind. Makes you feel like you are actually flying! The group split so some had gone to Disney. Mart squeeled like a little girl on the hulk ride....
