We made it!!! 11,200 miles through 30 states over 72 days; it was an awesome trip. Didn't get to make it to the Grand Canyon, as we thought it deserved more than a day for a proper visit. Instead we figured a day poolside at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Vegas wasn't a terrible way to wrap up our 2 months + on the road. Pretty sad wrapping up the road trip, but more good times ahead!!

It's funny, Zion N.P. gets over 3 million visitors a year making it one of the most visited parks in the national park system, but for some reason you never seem to hear about it or see the iconic images of it like you do for other famous parks. The final leg of our journey back to Cali started bright and early on Monday morning. We bid the Simcocks adieu and pulled out of Longmont headed Southwest. We took Jeff's advice and stopped on our way out of Colorado to take a quick jaunt up to the gorgeous Hanging Lake, before crossing into Utah and the red desert. We made it to Longmont! Home of team Simcock. It has been an incredible visit so far. Thursday began with a good fishing session for Adrian. He caught a couple of nice size trout (I really have no idea) before hiking out of our beautiful camp spot. We hit up the Pumphouse (local brewery) on our way into town. Very delicious!!
