We arrived on New Years Eve at the Stand Palace Hotel. Our room is fantastic - soft bed, clean bathroom with a bathtub and a flat screen TV! We hung out in the room for a while resting (mainly because we both have head colds) before venturing out for some dinner. We both had pasta from a cute Italian restaurant tucked in one of the little streets near out hotel. We keep warm in the hotel for a couple more hours before venturing down toward the London Eye to watch...

The journey so far….our first day in London We arrived yesterday in London on Malaysian Airlines flight MH004 in terminal 3 of Heathrow Airport. The first leg of our flight from Brisbane to Malaysia was full and uncomfortable, although the flight was very smooth. It was very hard to sleep. We took the time during our 6 hour stopover in Malaysia to catch up on some shuteye. We had a shower in one of the airport hotels - which was like heaven after our fligh...
