Wow! I can't believe the time has finally come! Tomorrow we board a plane for an adventure of a lifetime. It has been a year since we heard God's wisper to us to check out opportunities in Africa. We knew the timing just wasn't right to leave our newly established work at Hands of Hope. So...we waited and thought the day would NEVER arrive! Finally it's here. It's a bit surreal that tomorrow we'll be starting our long-awaited journey to Africa.

Running about here and there, packing, doing last minute chores and checking lists, I am filled with a plethora of emotions. My heart is filled with excitement and anticipation for what is ahead. And yet, my heart aches for the friends we'll be leaving behind. The good-byes are never easy. But I am so thankful God brought them into my life, even if it's only for a season. They have taught me so much about life, culture and abundant love. They will forever be in my heart!
