Next stop after Canberra was Jindabyne, in the Snowy Mountain National Park-known best for its skiing. As it was too expemsive to do that just for a day we went horse riding instead. Had some mad horses and great guides, so a good day overall-rode through some beautiful countryside, stunning views of snow capped mountains with kangaroos bounding around everywhere. We even got to try some at the end of the ride-kind of like beef really!
We then made the mistake of asking an Ozzy which the best way to go to the coast was, and ended up on a mammouth mountain journey that didn't finish till gone 12pm! We passed through Thredbo, picking up a couple of girls on the way who needed a lift-and gave us someone else to talk to for a while which was a good distraction, and ended up in Bairnsdale for the night.
