the Munster had a renovation project.... and get this... it was paid for COMPLETELY by the people of Freiburg. As everything always has been. When it was built (1200-1550), the people paid for it too, and they had to actually stop building for 100 years because they had to buy their independence from the Graf who ruled them. That's why it's built in 3 different period styles!
