Hello all, well i just needed to update you on this day asap as it is possibly been the best day of my life ever ever!!

I got to Luang Prabang yesterday afternoon, booked myself into the grimyist guest house i have ever seen but only cost about one pound a night so not sure what i was expecting... then i went off to the night market and spent an absolute fortune!

In the morning i had booked myself a little tour... firstly i went to ride an elephant, her name was Wen and she was 35 and the most beautiful creature i have ever seen in my life! we treking for a couple of hours throught the jungle. as i was in a group of three i even got my elephant all to myself. this is by far the highlight of Laos!!

then i headed off to Kuang Si Waterfalls (google it)
This has to be the most beautiful place in the entire world! i have never not wanted to leave somewhere so badly. There were pools under the waterfalls which we swam in for hours and hours. the water was so clean it was magical!

We then went to a Sun bear centre where they have to keep asian and sun bears in captivity so they don't get illegally poached in the wild. it was sad to see that they had to live there but the keepers looked after them well and they all had giant hammocks to sleep in. jealous!

tomorrow i am off to see the budda cave at Pak Ou - as instructed by my mother and hopefully the royal palace museum if i can squeeze it in. I have seen a number of galleries dotted around i want to go nose in to. I am catching the 7pm bus to Hannoi, Vietnam which will take me a whole 24 hours!! eek. i best stock up on the oreos!
