Hi everybody. Greetings from Tokyo! 2 days into WT and we`re having a great time. This is an amazing city and a great place to start. People are lovely and want to help (or just randomly chat away at us in Japanese!). We`re staying in a Japanese style hostel which is really nice - beds on the floor, no shoes past the doorway, gentle pipe music and kimonos for general drifting about (see photos). Have had fun adventuring and trying new things all in the spirit of the trip. Every meal we get more daring with the raw fish and sushi. We now know that the ginger is for cleansing the palette between mouthfuls rather than bunging on the top of the fish...useful knowledge! The sights have been pretty impressive, the bustle of the city exciting, but the highlight has got to be the karaoke booth which we discovered last night after a few beers. Out came Sinatra, Stevie wonder, Duran Duran and Wham....or at least versions of. Absolutely hilarious and we`re going back for more tomorrow! Hope you`re all doing well. Lots of love A&Jxx
