We motored on to Mountain Zebra NP, more game and another nice site. Nothing could dampen our spirits………….or so we thought. We spent the first 2 nights in Karoo National Park and everything was going well bar a minor glitch with the hole in our air mattress (Karen was not happy at the prospect of 6mths on the ground), and valuable lesson that wind camp awning - pegs, leads to a twisted mangled aluminium mess. But overall, a good campsite, good weather and we'd spotted our first game (if only a few antelope and some friendly tortoises).
