We have got a nice routine on a morning, Dad wakes at stupid o'clock and tiptoes to the toilet like a bull in a china shop. As soon as I show any sign of life he peeps through curtains and fills the room with light! This is my hint to get up.
This morning we set of to 'Dog Creek' it's just a place I saw on google that looked nice. It was about a 2 hour drive but we abandoned the idea after 20min down the dirt road as it killing the Toyota/Nissan thing we have. Not all bad though, a Coyote ran out in front of us and we saw some Beaver lodges.
We set off to Jasper, the town we plan to enter the Rocky Mountians at. It was about a 3 hour drive and we saw a kodiak Bear on the way, just sat at the side of the road, she posed for photos for us and then we moved on.
Jasper is nice we stopped and looked around for a while. Dad went for a number 2 so I sneaked in and took a photo.
It took about 4 hours to drive through the section of mountains, in that time we went from 14 degrees in Jasper to zero and driving through snow then at the end it was 7 degrees at "Radium Hot Springs" where we found digs. The drive through these Mountians isn't like the other drives we have had, the other roads tended to go over the mountains where as this was almost like driving through a valley because we were surrounded by them all the time. We only passed a handful of cars on the road and we saw more bears.
As it got dark .... all the Elk in Canada came to the roadside to wave at us as we drove past.
My Canadian took a dive today when I needed the loo, I said "excuse me, is there a 'restroom' around here" the lady directed me passed the toilets and to a restraunt
