Billed as the most expensive store in the world, shopping at the House of Bijan (owned by now-deceased designer Bijan Pakzad) is by appointment only. A month after his death, Bugatti released a one-off custom car, the Bijan Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport. Either the manager or the designer's son has parked the US$1.7m car in front of the store in tribute to Bijan. The car boasts a 1001 horsepower 16-cylinder engine, is equipped with four turbo chargers, and goes from 0 to 253 mph (407kph) in less than one minute.
