Hi Guys!! It's the first time we've been able to check your site in AGES, but have been thinking of you both on your travels! It sounds like you're having an amazing time! Things here are manic in the run up to the wedding - only 2 weeks and 6 days to go until the "big day" - the nerves are definitely kicking in now, but we're both really excited about it too! Can't wait to go on honeymoon - we definitely need a holiday!!! Take care of yourselves and we look forward to the next update. Love, Lauren & Darren XXX

Hello you two. How's NZ then? Hope it's cooler and drier than here - we're in the middle of the monsoon season! Thought I'd tell you about next door's cat. (You were right, Helen, it isn't Penny who gets into the back garden.!) NDC has been snooping round the pond for ages. The other morning I heard a great commotion outside and when I looked there sat NDC on the patio with something in her mouth. When she(?) saw me, she dropped it - a great big frog, would you believe? Goodness knows how she managed to catch it or what she thought she was going to do with it. She wouldn't have liked it, would she? All cold and slimey not like a mouse. Anyway, the poor thing hopped off and I read NDC the riot act telling her to leave my frogs alone. I wonder if anyone heard me - they'll think I'm mad! Of course, she took absolutely no notice and is still snooping round. The very next morning she was crouched on the bridge peering through a gap and is hanging round at every opportunity. As far as I know the big frog is still going strong (I've seen it since) and there are at least 2 small frogs as well. No sign of the newts, though. I wonder if NDC has done for them? Wretched animal. By the way, Penny hasn't forgotten you - she still comes over miaouing for milk! Well, all for now - enough rambling from me. Hope you're both OK and that NZ is living up to expectations. Take care. Lots of love from us both. xox

in the hotel bar - had a few drinks, so excuse the typing xxlxllxlxl!!! We have been to Gozo today in our hire car. Had a lovely day - visited the Citidel and Gozo Cathedral - photo's to follow. At the moment we have had to come under cover because it is raining, but still very hot. We have left Frank in the hotel bar, slowly getting drunk, although he is doing a 'deal' with the barman. Glad you are enjoying your trip - we are really enjoying the pictures and to know that you are ok and safe. Watch out for the boobies!! There aren't too many birds here - not even seagulls - they are shot - very sad. One of the Maltese dishes here is rabbit stew; today we saw crates of rabbits on the back of a lorry going to be slaughtered - (I wanted to take photo's to send to the RSPCA) but Frank wouln't let me - very sad. Signing off now - take care - speak to you both soon - love from Viv, Frank & Dave xxxxxxx

hi Helen & Ben
Just having a look to see how you are both doing - from Malta!!!! We are having a good time - it is very hot, so Frank & Dave are drinking plenty of beer! We have been on a boat trip around the island today - very interesting. Tomorrow, we are hiring a car to get around the island. I have been to a Thalassotherapy class today - it was wonderful - and the instructor was very nice!! We are staying in an Apartment and the view from our rooms are overlooking Valetta bay - so wonderful to wake up to. Off for a few beers now - take care - lots of love from Viv, Frank & Dave (from downtown Sliema - Malta). xxxxxxxxxx

Hi there,
We enjoyed looking at the photos of our drunken night out in Arica, although we have now officially retired from Karaoke!!
Saw you are in Puerto Montt - are you taking a boat south from there? It is very brave if you are! Good Luck!
We are now in Rio having spent the last 2 weeks mainly on the road, lots of uncomfortable night buses. We got to Brazil a week ago and have spent the whole time communicating via the means of international gesture as our Portuguese is poor to say the least.
