A few months ago I decided it was time for a sudden change in my life, I needed some excitement and I felt the need to create a new adventure and new stories in my life. In 2007 I taught Spanish and was a dorm proctor at Saint Johnsbury Academy in Vermont. Two weeks after my last class and after all the students had started their summer break, I decided to sell all my belongings and donate most of my clothes. My intentions were to buy a plane ticket to anywhere in South America with the little money that I gathered. The idea was that I wanted to land in a country where I wouldn't know anyone and where I would have to start from zero. After some research I found a cheap plane ticket to Buenos Aires, Argentina, a country
that I have never seen and a place where from day one I will have to find my way to eat, sleep and find my way around. The goal of this trip is for me to travel along the entire continent of South America (as well as Central America), living a different lifestyle, volunteering and helping people along the way. Some of the countries that I hope to see along the way are Brazil, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Colombia as well as most of the countries in Central America. This blog is an invitation to anyone that wants to follow my trip; that starts September 12th, including my fun adventures and the sad realities that I will find along the way in some of the third world countries of S. America. If you chose to read along I hope you enjoy it. Thanks.
